This is the day that the LORD has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

God has a Word for you, this Saturday evening, April 29th, in the year of our Lord, 2006, even as it was spoken 4000 years ago by the Prophet Isaiah, yet it is today as true. Receive this Word:

So do not fear; for I am with you; Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Greetings dear friends, in the Mighty Name of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Our God is an AWESOME GOD! Amen. However, unless you are in covenant with Him, walking with Him in rightousness, obedience and faith, this old world can be a scary place for you! Indeed even God through His Love for you can be (or seem to be) scary! Read in Hosea 4:6 where God declares:

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Whew! How many of you have children??? Now that's a scary thought: by your disobedience, by your lack of knowledge of God's Word, by in a sense you "forgetting" God, He is not only going to reject you, but is going to forget your children! How many of you want your children to be forgotten by God? Hmm...I don't see any hands raised! Amen. None of us, of course, thus we should be in His Word, learning, receiving, studying, reverencing, and most of obeying! If you want God's blessing, protection and favor, you must, no make that MUST renew your mind with the knowledge of God through His Holy Word, The Holy Bible! You will then be in covenant with Him, thinking His thoughts and walking in His ways! Praise God!

The inerrant, living Word of God declares that we should seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and then, all the rest of the stuff we need will be added or given to us. Sounds pretty straightforward to me. Like most of the Bible: God provides a blessing based on obedience to His Word. Hence, obedience is better than sacrifice. Indeed it would be better to walk in obedience to God's Word all week long than to come to church for a couple of hours on Sunday thusly attempting to sacrifice to God.
